Roadside Stand now open daily

Tasty veggies grown just for you! Stop by often for a taste of summer.
At this time of year, there's something new every week!

Larger Eight-Ball Zucchini makes a great dip bowl!

We try to grow all our vegetables naturally and sustainably. This is the same policy we
use for our trees and nursery stock too! Sometimes there may be a blemish on a
product due to our near-organic methods - but  those just make the food a little
more interesting!

On the Table This Week
Sweet Corn
Two-Bite Tomatoes
Heirloom Tomatoes
Beefsteak Tomatoes
Cherry Tomatoes
Ishtar squash, a Koosa summer squash type (see "Barq" on our Summer Squash guide)
8-Ball Zucchini
Zucchini
Yellow Crookneck
Sweet Onions
Cucumbers & Pickles
YELLOW tomatoes

Most Days This Week:
Green Beans
Broccoli
Bell Peppers: Green, Purple, Red, Orange, Yellow

Bushel Produce: Tomatoes, pickles, corn and squash are all available for canning - jars, too! Pricing is all $25 and under. More types to come, very soon.

Coming Soon: Potatoes - White, Redskin, Yukon Gold and Purple

pumpkins in the pines

So many pumpkin varieties to choose from! We had fun selecting the varieties for our
field this year. From little mini-pumpkins to great big 35-pounders, to pumpkins just for
eating and the bizarre-looking specialty pumkins, they're all in the ground and growing
like crazy. When you pass by on the freeway, be sure to have your passengers watch
for the pumpkin rows! Soon the plants will completely cover their plastic mulch.

Our first annual Halloween Hayride was a lot of fun.
We look forward to growing more great pumpkins and having a great time
with you this fall.

Thanks to all who visited Pumpkins in the Pines for our pre-Halloween hayrides &
pumpkin picking in 2009. We'll be posting a photo gallery soon, and have started one
on our Facebook page. We hope you'll add to it!

Classroom field trips can be arranged for during the week, just for fun or to enhance
your curriculum.
