Returning from the Tree Field

Enjoy this Christmas Season with a family visit to the tree farm!

Bring the family and visit us between Thanksgiving weekend and December 21 for a hayride to our tree cutting fields. Saturday and Sunday through Dec 14, we'll have horses pulling wagons! (Horses will be pulling on Friday 11/28, too.) Hop off and roam the fields. Enjoy a snow adventure, or play hide-and-seek, just enjoy the farm setting.  Visit one of our campfires for a photo op or just to warm up!

Visit With Santa and his Reindeer

Not only do children (and their adults) get to visit with Santa, but they get to see his reindeer, too. Each year, Santa sends a pair of reindeer here just to enjoy your company. We'll have apple slices on hand - everyone gets a chance to feed them! Don't forget your camera: you can have a great photo with Santa.

Email Santa! Send him your wish list, or ask if he has a chance to visit your home or party.

Whatever your favorite - visiting Santa, riding the hayride, tromping in the woods, hanging by the fire, watching wreath decorating - you're sure to have a great time when you visit Trim Pines Farm!

Watch here for announcements of special activities, like an antique tractor display from the Genesee County Two-Cylinder Club.

Admission

is only $3 per person. When you purchase your tickets, you'll receive a coupon towards your Christmas tree, in the amount of your total admission price.

Choose & Cut and precut Christmas Trees

We can offer you a terrific array of fresh Christmas Trees - from fat & wide, to tall & slender and everything in between. Dense branching can hold lots of lights, and open trees may have a Victorian feel. You'll even find the perfect trees to hold large decorations like teddy bears. From friendly to stately to truly funky, you can discover your favorite tree personality! We've phased out our local Scotch Pine production, so this year's selection will be in pre-cut only. All other species will be available in you-cut, and most in pre-cut as well. until you find just the right tree. Our pre-cut trees can be a real convenience - we cut them weekly, so you know they're fresh!

Check out our brand-new fields! This year, we're offering you cutting opportunities in fields that you've never seen. You can shop a selection that's better than ever!

Prices start at $55 for standard sizes. Prices are clearly marked on your tree. We'll shake, wrap and drill your tree at no additional charge, too.  Ask us about trees up to 20' tall - we have several available each year! We may also have some small, table-top trees as well. Just ask your greeters.

Tree hunting Tips

Follow these tips for a successful tree hunt:

1. Know the height & width of your room before you come to choose your tree. Select a tree that's the appropriate size, or have our tree handlers cut your tree to the right height for you. Remember to leave space for the stand and your tree topper!

2. Wear the right clothing for the day - as with any outdoor winter activity, most of us are happiest with our boots, hat & gloves! Bring a camera, too. We'll be happy to snap a picture for you, or you can trade turns on the shutter with other tree hunters.

3. Let your pets stay home, as they're not allowed on the farm with the horses & tractors.

4. Use our saws - we maintain them every year so you don't have to bring your own. Axes and power saws aren't allowed on the farm for safety's sake

Happy Holidays to Oakland County (Clarkston, Auburn Hills, Lake Orion, Ortonville, Davisburg, Troy, Rochester Hills, Linden) and Genesee County (Burton, Davison, Fenton, Flint, Flushing, Grand Blanc, Goodrich) and surrounding area residents! Plan a family outing to Trim Pines Farm for your Real Christmas Tree.
